Training and Background

I have trained in Transactional Analysis at Physis in Edinburgh. Since then, I have worked with clients in a charity setting and privately. I have worked extensively both face-to-face and online – I find both are effective for therapy in their own ways. I am currently a contractual trainee working towards completing my CTA exams (click here if you want to know more).

I have a background in industry, having worked for small and large companies over the last 33 years, so I bring an understanding of many workplace issues. I also have a PhD (in Earth Sciences) and an MSc (in counselling) which gives me a practical experience of the academic world and the challenges of completing a course of study.

• Four years part-time training in Transactional Analysis psychotherapy at Physis Scotland
• COSCA Diploma in Transactional Analysis Counselling
• MSc in Transaction Analysis Counselling (Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh)
